About us and the Website

In 1996 our manager - Ms Sangduen Chailert (Lek) - founded Elephant Nature Park. This award-winning conservation effort is involved in cultural preservations, elephant rescues and educating the public to the sad plight of these wonderful mammals. Part of our proceeds from all travel products goes directly elephant care. :-)

Site History

The site was opened in January 1997 and is aimed at the discerning traveller demanding choice, flexibility and direct contact with the operator and hotels they wished to use. It is still growing, in fact it will never be completed as we bring you the latest information on Thailand and the region.

Content

Within the site you can learn about such diverse aspects as Thai cooking to the weather in the country. Our Travel News is now on board and keeps the independent traveller informed of many options.  There is something for everyone in our pages, which now number over 1,000 and are continually growing. A real active web resource for any friends of Thailand.

From the home page http://www.thaifocus.com you can direct yourself to any part of the site. If you do manage to get lost click on the Thaifocus icon at the top left hand corner which is displayed on most pages.

Community Commitment

We are from the Northern Thailand area, a partnership of expat and local management and staff.  We live in the country, know the area well and are in a much better position to advise you on the attractions than overseas travel agencies. Also what you spend with us goes directly into the local economy.

So, as you can see we are quite different from most newcomers to the web. Our tours, hotel deals, Elephant Park, flight deals, car rentals and other services have all been developed in over a decade of experience.

When you deal with us you can expect a safe, convenient and prompt travel service with numerous bookable facilities at your fingertips.
