Sao Yai - female - born 1987. She was an ex-logging elephant. Her second owner bought her to a tourist camp and used her to transport tourists, on her back.

On 18 April 2001 she gave birth. On April 2002 Lek start took her away from the tourist camp to rest at Elephant Haven. She is now the proud mother of "Liberty"
