just two hours by road from Bangkok. The bustling former fishing

Pattaya - Getting Around
 |
The city has grown so much that getting around on foot is no
longer an option for most visitors, except around the main beach
area's of course. Pattaya's infamous Baht buses (Pick up trucks
with rows of seats in the back) are the main way for visitors to
get around. Their reputation as the surliest driers in the kingdom
is said to be well deserved by many.

Pattaya Water-sports
Jet ski's, banana boats and parasailing are all available for hire
on the beach. Swimmers should take precautions.

Pattaya can be reached by a network of motorways and tollways from
Bangkok. A trip of 2-2.5 hours is normal and visitors can also
bypass Bangkok's sprawl and go to Don Muang airport or the new
airport. |
