Q. What ages of school groups can you cater for?
A. Depends on the type of trip required. We can operate trips from infants up until
school leaving age. We have had several clients over 80 on our day trips and treks.
Basically we can make suitable arrangements for visitors of all ages.
Q What should the group bring on overnight trips?
A. We will provide a list of suitable items will be provided.
Q. What security provisions are there for overnight treks and camping trips?
A. Depending on the area we will arrange for local police to patrol camp sites. We also
provide stand-by transport should any such need arise.
Q. What about insects, snakes and wild-animals?
A. All overnight areas are strictly chosen with safety in mind. Insect seasons are
taken into account and areas are sprayed with government approved insecticides. Visitors
should bring repellent which we recommend be administered at dusk. Camp fires keep snakes
away and our locations are designated with personal security as the main concern.
Q. Medical kit, Do you provide one?
A. We bring a First Aid kit with us on all trips. With larger groups we strongly
recommend that you take something similar with you.
Q. Sleeping Bags: What if some of our group do not have their own?
A. We will arrange for blankets to be available at the site. We do, however, strongly
recommend that groups purchase sleeping bags for overnight trips. If the group is split
then, perhaps the school organiser can arrange to borrow from the others.
Q. What about water and ice? Is it safe to drink?
A. All water comes from reputable companies which process and sterilise the water. Ice
is bought locally from approved shops. There should be no problem with drinking water and
ice.
Q. Diets. Several of our group will be vegetarian, Halal and different types
of diets.. What types of food are there for them?
A. Given a day's notice we can accommodate group members with dietary restraints. Food
will be prepared accordingly. Please make this clear at least the day before such special
types of food are required.
Q. Allergies. Some parents have expressed concern regarding their children's
allergy to insect bite. Have you any advice on this?
A. The precautions taken above should minimise this. In the case of extreme allergies
or adverse medical conditions of the group we would require details, in writing, before
making a decision. In extreme cases it should be possible to arrange alternative
activities for this small minority.
Q. Insurance: Is it provided?
A. All our vans carry full accident insurance. Other insurance policies should be
arranged by your school before departure.
Q. What about seat belts in cars and vans?
A. Seat belts have been fitted in all our vehicles.
Q. This is my first time as trip organiser. How should I proceed with
deposits and such like?
A. We suggest that you make a firm policy on this; perhaps 60% deposit three months
before the trip and the remainder three weeks before they are due to arrive on the tour.
Q. Cancellations: What do I do if group members cancel at the last moment?
A. Depending on how close it is to the tour date you should collect a cancellation fee
from them. This fee must cover any booked tickets, accommodation and tour costs. We
suggest that you charge the above deposit rate depending when they cancel. Check with our
booking conditions on page for a full description of our charges.
Q. What types of accommodation are there?
A. Accommodation varies from spartan guest houses to luxury hotels with many choice in
between. The choice will depend on your budget and group size. We can provide excellent
rates to suit.
Please contact us if you have any
further queries.
